Dear Parents,

We had such a fantastic day at Hebrew School!
We spent this weeks lesson learning about the current holiday of Sukkot.

We learnt that on Sukkot we build a Sukkah and try to do as many mitzvot as we can in the sukkah; Such as eating, drinking, shaking the lulov and esrog etc.
After learning WHY we build a Sukkah and WHAT makes a Sukkah kosher, Morah Gnendys class set out to make their own kosher Sukkahs. After collecting leaving from outside and using lego they divided into groups to apply what they've learnt in building their own Sukkah.

Morah Shaindys class covered as well what the Lulov, Esrog, Haddasim (mrtyle branch), Aravot (willow branch) represent in our day-to-day life and how it can teach us a lesson on how we preform Mitzvot.

In Hebrew School we all got to make our very own edible Sukkahs IN THE Sukkah! What fun! We all tried hard to keep those walls standing ensuring it was a "kosher" Sukkah :)
We made a special blessing in the Sukkah and then got to shake the lulov and esrog with Rabbi Mendy.

Happy Sukkot and Chag Sameach!
Looking forward in seeing all of our friends on next Wednesday!
